Come the weekend, I love to go out and blow off steam from a long week. I especially enjoy a rooftop bar, but unfortunately in LA that's often synonymous with watery drinks, a velvet rope and douchey bouncer/clientele to match.
Not the case with Filifera, a newish rooftop bar in Hollywood. Located on the 22nd floor of the Proper residences , it is the highest rooftop bar and lounge in Hollywood and is swanky personified without the attitude to match. The interior of both the residences and the bar/pool are courtesy of Kelly Wearstler, queen of California chic with a more is more flair. I've been several times as a guest and recently co-hosted an engagement party there and have continued to be impressed by how amenable and courteous the management is.

Amazing panoramic views abound including both the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park observatory.

Sunset/ Golden Hour is my favorite time to enjoy the view.
One must rooftop bar in style: Janna Conner Aleeza rock crystal cocktail ring, Sidwell bubble ring, and 14k yellow gold d initial bracelet.
Their drinks are varied and tasty, and they have an excellent wine list. I'm not typically a red wine drinker anymore but their Grenache is exceptional.
The pool is for residents only, and the rooftop was only for residents during daytime hours with evenings opening to the public. Fridays and Saturdays they have a great chill vibe with a dj.

And as of this weekend, you don't have to wait until evening to enjoy this view. Filifera is now offering brunch on Saturday and Sundays! With selections like bananas foster French toast (complete with McConnell's vanilla bean ice cream), shrimp chilaquiles and fresh pressed pineapple mimosas you're sure to find something to please!
