Wow, it's the first day of February and we are a full month into 2019! We've survived Drynuary and the Polar Vortex which feels like a major accomplishment in and of itself. Now we have Valentines Day to look forward to and an opportunity to treat either yourself or a loved one to something special. I love the annual celebration of pink and red and all things girly. My favorites are a modern take on traditional Valentines items. Hope you like them!
A more traditional approach to Valentines with a red enamel heart pendant, this necklace is updated in it's length. It's a little longer - 20 inches and looks great with a v neck tee shirt or a gray, navy or tan cardigan.
Not into traditional Valentines looks, or not a girly girl? I love my black heart enamel choker necklace for a little bit of edge and whimsy. Makes a great gift for any galentine who's not into pink or red. Pairs well with black, navy, grey or even cream for a winter black and white look.
What's Valentines day without lipstick? I wear one of these lipsticks almost everyday. Love the versatile, soft blush nudes for day and the brighter pink shades for a night out. I like to pair them with a lipliner or layer over a lipstick for a longer wearing finish. XO Stud Earrings Photo by Veronica Kablan.
Mismatched earrings are the latest trend. These XO studs look great on a double piercing or worn as a mismatched set. So many options for how to style them and they ring in at $25, so they're a no-brainer! Makes a great gift for a daughter or any galentine on your list.
The soft mauve and pink chevron print on this knit sweater has a slightly seventies feel but with a modern color palette and silhouette. Sézane is a brand that I fell in love with for it's unique and affordable Parisienne aesthetic on one of my annual trips to Paris. They now have a store in NYC so I don't have to wait to get my fix!
Love the delicate nature of these hoops. Thin and elegant, hand shaped wire makes these a modern take on the classic gold hoop earring.

Just can't get enough of this vibrant shade of raspberry. Makes for a great layering piece or on its own!
I personally own two pairs of the Harper mules. One in black and the pink suede color above that on my pale skin wears like a nude. I have flat feet that often ache and hurt when I wear any kind of heels so I had long ago resigned myself to a life of flat sensible shoes. Enter the Harper mule. Its stacked chunky heel and padded insoles are cushy and comfy. I have worn them at all day long trade shows when I'm on my feet and have no time to sit or change my shoes. And to sweeten the deal, these pink suede ones are currently on sale!!
Fun fashion ring, I like to wear with a bunch of different rings, one on each finger!
If you're the type that doesn't change up your rings on the daily then these beauties are for you. Thin and delicate, you can put them on and forget about them. One on each finger elevates the look to something a little edgier and unexpected. Pair it with a valentine inspired cherry red half moon mani for some easy diy nail art that is chic but not over the top.
