The Oscars are this Sunday...will you be watching?
The Oscars are this Sunday...will you be watching? I love movies and fashion so it's the perfect combination of eye candy and voyeurism. The best part is the red carpet before it actually starts, when you can admire the glitz and glamour before the hours long the ceremony begins. I think the only nominee I've seen this year is Get Out which should absolutely win for best screenplay.
If I was a nominee I would aspire to wear one of the many beautiful gowns showcased at the recent Spring Haute Couture week that just graced the runways in Paris last month.
Giambattista Valli Spring 2018 Couture
I just love the chartreuse color of this dress, and pair it with strawberry blonde hair, perfection! I would pair them with my turquoise and lapis earrings below for a complementary color contrast.
One of a Kind Janna Conner Cubist Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and Lapis Diamond Pavé Earrings
I only made one of these babies, out of the finest rose cut sleeping beauty turquoise and slices of lapis. They're light weight dangles, because one of the number one complaints I hear from women are that they're ear holes are too low and they can't wear anything heavy. Besides, who wants to wear heavy earrings?! They're secure because they're lever backs, and pavéd with conflict free diamonds for extra sparkle.
Givenchy Spring 18 Couture Ombré dress
I love the ombré gradient of this maxi dress. The fabric is so light and dreamy, one can just imagine it swishing on the red carpet.
Janna Conner Chrysoprase Lapis and Turquoise Cubist rings
Chrysoprase is a beautiful jade green like stone most often found in Australia. I love it's milky vibrant hue that is so unlike any other stone. I would pair my chrysoprase and diamond pavé drops and a cocktail ring with this dress choice, since it's got a lot going on it's best to keep the jewelry a little on the simpler side.

Or if you're not a fan of color and want to go a little more traditional glam, I would wear this Givenchy gunmetal tiered gown. I love gunmetal because you get the beauty of metallic but it's a little less bright and shiny and a little more sophisticated.
Givenchy Spring 18 Couture Gunmetal Tiered Maxi Dress
Since the dress is very soft and feminine, I would toughen it up a bit with some hardware elements. I love the sculptural feel of my Edie earrings and they have a bit of an oxidized finish to them so they'll pair well with gunmetal.
