A native of Los Angeles, Janna Conner designs simple yet elegant jewelry inspired by the vivid colors and multicultural richness of the Californian landscape. From Asia to the Middle East, Europe to Africa, she has honed her philosophy and aesthetic through her extensive world travels, visiting, among other places, a silk farm in China and a textile factory in Egypt. She has lived in Hong Kong and holds a degree in Chinese history from UCLA, where she balanced her intellectual interests with her passion for art and design.
Founded in 1999, Janna Conner Designs has been committed to the creation of beautiful and wearable pieces of jewelry. Each piece is carefully hand-crafted in Janna Conner's Los Angeles design studio, using only the highest quality Czechoslovakian glass, semi-precious stones, and natural minerals.
"I try to combine the whimsy of fashion with everyday functionality," she has said. "I design for women like myself who are influenced by trends yet are not ruled exclusively by them."
As a result, Janna Conner's designs have been seen on a diverse range of celebrities, including Jessica Simpson, Rachael Ray, Nelly Furtado, Diane Kruger, Madonna, the Olsen twins, Debra Messing, Selena Gomez, Paris Hilton, Katherine McPhee, and Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port of the hit MTV show "The Hills". Her jewelry can be found at stores nationwide such as Anthropologie, LF Stores, Kitson, Something Silver, Henri Bendel, Lord and Taylor, South Moon Under, Plaza Too, Ice Accessories, and Fred Segal. |
